Joomla WS - Joomla exposed as WebServices

J oomla WS is a service or daemon allowing you to manage your Joomla CMS using WebServices. It permits connecting Joomla with other programs.


WebServices are described using WSDL. It is easy to generate code for major languages like :

  • PHP
  • C#
  • .NEt
  • Java
  • etc...

Joomla WS as a Service in Windows

Joomla WS for Windows contains a complete set of commands to install and run Joomla WS as a service

Joomla WS as a WebService in Windows NT,Windows Vista, Windows 7 ,Windows 8


Windows Installation process

  1. Unzip the product (joomlaWS-1.xx-windows.zip) in your favorite installation folder �(e.g.; C:\Program Files\joomlaWS-1.36 )
  2. Adapt the configuration.properties file according to your Joomla installation ( C:\Program Files\joomlaWS-1.36\conf\configuration.properties )
  3. Install the service by executing the following batch file C:\Program Files\joomlaWS-1.36\bin\InstallService.bat
  4. Joomla WS is now installed as a service and automatically started if you reboot your machine
  5. If you want to run the service immediately you can execute the following batch file C:\Program Files\joomlaWS-1.36\bin\StartService.bat
